Analysis of Mine Blower, New for 2017 at Fun Spot America (Kissimmee)
From the manufacturer of some of the best wooden roller coasters in the world, including The Voyage at Holiday World and Switchback at ZDT's Amusement Park, comes a new wooden coaster at Fun Spot America in Kissimmee, Florida, USA, about forty minutes from its sister park, also named Fun Spot America, in Orlando. The new wooden coaster from Cincinnati-based coaster manufacturer The Gravity Group instantly garnered attention after it was announced earlier today because of its unique layout, including a 360-degree barrel roll, a rarity among wooden coasters, and small footprint.

The new coaster, named Mine Blower, will be 82 feet tall, feature an 80.5-foot drop, a 360-degree barrel roll, several overbanked turns, and a top speed of 48.5 mph. The new attraction will be a wooden hybrid coaster, which means it will feature a steel support structure, rather than a wooden support structure traditionally used for wooden coasters. The new coaster will the first of its kind at the park.
As coaster enthusiasts know, Gravity Group is really good at what they do, and that is building kick-butt wooden coasters. I'm very sure that this new coaster coming to Fun Spot America will be just as amazing as it looks in the animations. Because this coaster looks so good, I would say it would be among the fifteen or twenty best wooden coasters in North America. Fun Spot America made a smart decision by choosing to build this wooden-hybrid masterpiece.
