Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm Set to Close Forever on April 23, 2017
Knott's Berry Farm (located in Buena Park, California) has announced that it will be closing Boomerang, its Vekoma Boomerang coaster. The park opened Boomerang back in 1990, and it will close for good on April 23, 2017, during the park's annual Boysenberry Festival.
Lately, many Vekoma Boomerangs have ceased operation. Boomerangs tend to become rough very quickly, and riders also complain often about experiencing headbanging, both of which are factors that disappoint guests and decrease ridership.
