Mean Streak RMC Conversion Update #13: Inclined Zero-G Roll & 90° Banked Turn

CP Rundown on Facebook released a photo earlier today of Mean Streak at Cedar Point. This photo shows perhaps the biggest update we've seen of the wooden coaster's conversion into a steel hybrid coaster by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC). The photo shows a new element that dives under the new, steeper lift hill. The new element is an inclined zero-g roll, which is a traditional zero-g roll, but it reaches the 180 degree mark at an incline rather than at the apex of the inversion. The inclined zero-g roll on new Mean Streak will be followed up by a ~90 degree banked turn that will then turn back under the lift hill, as seen by the ledgers placed on the wooden support structure at the exit of the stall.

This roll element is the first inversion we've seen in the new Mean Streak layout. Rocky Mountain Construction coasters typically feature inversions, and Mean Streak will be no exception. I suspect that the new layout will feature between two and four inversions, as Cedar Point already has two coasters with six inversions, so there's no need for another inversion-heavy coaster at the park.
